Clem is the Director of Clementine Blakemore Architects, an award-winning practice, committed to producing buildings that are inventive, inclusive and have a positive impact on both the wider community and the environment. Current projects include a national peat research centre at Honeygar for the Somerset Wildlife Trust and the renovation of the Royal College of Art’s Kensington campus – a collaborative project with Witherford Watson Mann Architects. Clem initially studied sculpture and then worked in film before training as an architect; after a year at the design-build programme Rural Studio in Alabama, she gained her qualifications at the Architectural Association, where she was awarded a scholarship, and then at the Royal College of Art. She founded her practice in 2016, and since then has been included on the AJ’s ’40 under 40′ list, selected as a RIBA Journal Rising Star, and awarded RIBA Stephen Lawrence Prize.

She will be presenting Wraxall Yard, the inventive restoration of a series of derelict farm buildings into accessible holiday accommodation, a community space and educational farm, which was shortlisted for the 2024 Stirling Prize.
