Everyone is an artist, and Messums Studios were set up to support artists of all ages at any point of their creative career.
Throughout Spring/Summer 2025, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Messums Studios delivered a number of free creative courses and workshops for young people exploring material qualties. Click here to read more about our community engagement & creative outreach programme.
- OUR AIMS
- To address the shortcomings in our communities in the provision of creative learning. We seek to impart creative skills and material knowledge because this type of learning is much needed across all parts of society and in all communities.
- OUR OBJECTIVES
- To open new pathways to access art and creativity. To enable the acquisition of the knowledge necessary to problem-solve through the application of material knowledge, and for individual expression through visual language.
- OUR STUDENTS
- Are all members of our communities, irrespective of age, experience or circumstances. Our students are everyone who wishes to gain from creative learning. We provide safe creative spaces in which we teach by unlocking the curiosity of play and by nurturing the sense of success afforded by making art.
Our kiln hire and firing service is available to all in our wide creative community. Whether you are a community group, school, or an individual, if you need to fire your clay work do get in touch to discuss the technical considerations of your project.
If you are a representative of a school, college, university, or community group we would be delighted to tailor a hands-on creative learning session for you.
