Victoria is Founder and President at Seenaryo, a nonprofit theatre organisation that supports people in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria to heal, lead and learn through participatory theatre and play-based learning. Seenaryo’s work is rooted in the understanding that theatre and play can transform an individual’s sense of agency: they gain the power to shape their own narrative and catalyse social change, individually but also through collective action. Prior to her work with Seenaryo, Victoria directed the New York-based economic development nonprofit SEAL (Social & Economic Action for Lebanon), and worked in contemporary art in London and Beirut. She has created art projects including the Another Place audio walk which has toured to five countries on three continents; and co-translated two plays for the Royal Court Theatre. She started her working life as an actor, has a degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and a Diploma in Acting, and is a Trustee of the feminist Syrian organisation Women Now for Development.
