Vittorio Gui was born in Italy in 1966 and is an artist internationally acclaimed for his artistic research into the essence of meditation and concentration.  Having been interested in oriental studies since the early 2000s, in his photographs Gui creates a perfect balance aimed at recalling the shape of a human aura, inviting the viewer to look beyond the image.

To Gui, photography is a meditative moment, a “frozen moment” within endless sequences of time. “Flowers, says Vittorio Gui, keep still. They do not move and, by their immobility, support concentration.” The pictorial reproduction of the flower-head is no plain portrayal but concentrated energy.

Gui’s secondary market is limited but two comparable examples have sold between Euro 3,500 – 4,500
