Molly Rose Butt makes work from a studio on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, where she has been based since 2015. She completed an MFA at Wimbledon College of Art in 2016, after studying a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Kingston University 2010-2013. She went on to attend the Studio Painting Programme at Turps Art School 2018-2020.  In 2022, she and several other Turps Painters participated in a one month residency at Cyprus College of Art. In June 2023 she partook an artist’s residency at Cill Rialaig in Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, where she worked on a series of drawings that informed some of her recent paintings.
