Matilda Dumas is an established Australian artist, specialising in landscape paintings and abstract work. Dumas lives in Australia on Gundungurra land, the traditional land of the Burra Burra people where she are up. She paints using impasto, colour washes, scumbling, palette knives, brushes, sticks and rags; whatever comes to hand. She has been shortlisted for a number of prizes including the NSW Pleinair Painting Prize and was runner up to the Hawksbury Art Prize.
