Course description:

A day of drawing from a life model.
Using the life model as our inspiration we will execute numerous drawing exercises to discover new marks and ways of making depictions and images. Throughout the day we will use charcoal, paint, pastels sandpaper, and more to uncover new and exciting ways of drawing the life model.  At the end of the day we will get the chance to concentrate on one final major piece. 

All levels of experience are welcome.

Materials will be provided, but you can also bring your own. Be prepared to work hard!

Please bring your packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. 

About the tutor:

Sue Larner worked as a storyboard artist, model maker and illustrator before she began her six years’ training as a sculptor at Bath (Foundation), Cheltenham (BA Hons)  and the Royal College of Sculpture (MA RCA) where she won the Henry Moore Bursary. Drawing is a large and very important part of her practice. She has taught at Redditch, York, and Bath City College and has taught Figurative Sculpture and Life Drawing at Bath Artists’ Studios since 1998
