Arnold Dobbs is a London visual artist making work from 1964 to today. His work includes figurative and abstract pieces in mainly oil as well as some sculpture. In 1992 at the age of fifty Arnold was offered early redundancy from his full-time job and enrolled as a mature student at St John Cass Art Faculty.  Since graduating with a BA in Fine Art (Hons) in 1996 he has worked full time in a studio in APT (Art in Perpetuity Trust) Deptford, SE London. Arnold is known for his strong use of colour and expressive work. Arnold has exhibited his work in solo and group shows throughout his career including London, Denn Hagg Holland and New York and Santa Barbara USA.

The first work collected by the present owners who have established a significant collection, it was bought for circa £1,500 over 20 years ago.
