Joanna Sutherland

Joanna Sutherland is a Director at Haworth Tompkins with 25 years of experience as an architect. She has led many of the studio’s major housing, education, regeneration, masterplanning and performing arts projects, including the highly acclaimed Silchester Project for Peabody and RBKC, which won National RIBA, Civic Trust and NLA Awards.
Joanna has a wealth of cross-sector experience, working with challenging contexts, conservation areas and listed buildings. She is skilled in the understanding and synthesising the range of complex views and ambitions surrounding a project to create a shared vision and provide creative solutions underpinned by expertise in technical coordination and deliverable solutions, resulting in rational beautiful and meaningful places.
