Messums Creative Ltd. is a registered charity providing access to making though community focused outreach projects, workshops, residencies, talks, events and films.
Schools
Art and creativity encourages critical thinking and positive mental health, and we believe that they should be an essential part of a child’s education.
Messums West is open for school visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We encourage local schools to come along and enjoy a tour of the exhibitions and grounds as part of their art curriculum.
Dance
Messums and our partners have funded dance workshops for local people to join. We also support professional dancers to go in to schools and teach creativity through movement as part of an ongoing interest in bringing art to the local community.
Making
We are delighted to be offering free clay workshops to young people in 2025.
Our programme of clay workshops offered for free for young people in South West Wiltshire is generously supported by Wiltshire Council through the South West Wiltshire Area Board.
Active Environmentalism
Messums is committed to a programme of active environmentalism in the community, including an annual symposium of talks with experts in the field.
